This last Saturday was another beautiful wedding, in a stunning venue!
Courtney & Wilson it was truly an honor to not only be your cousin, but that you chose Shelby & I to photograph your day.
Surrounded by a multitude of family & friends they celebrated this joyous occasion, and a celebration it was!
Their bridal party was wonderful to work with! Thanks especially to a few guys that kept us laughing!
There is a certain type of light that is just yummy....when it shows up, as a photographer. You must use it!
Fortunately we were able to sneak away from the reception long enough to capture these next few.......
Which may very well be my favorites from the whole day!
I'll be back in the next few weeks to showcase some of the reception details and the hilarious introduction to the reception of the bridal party! It really can't be skipped over! Loved it!
Congrats you two! I hope you are enjoying your honeymoon in Carmel...
I have looked forward to this wedding since last October. Krystal was on top of things, scheduled an engagement session and shortly after we had a consult to officially book their wedding. Smart girl, oddly enough we had 2 inquiries for that day, and I know that most of my "shutterbug friends" were at their own weddings! Must have been the weekend choice this summer. Krystal & I hit it off not only because we share a very cool name, but because I could tell she would treasure her photographs, which is so inspiring as a photographer.
She sent me many emails, and updates about wedding plans throughout the year.... I truly was honored she never forgot me..... I knew when invites were going out, praying that bridesmaids dresses were going to be in on time, and also that the venue was being constructed and designed all year long. (that is another post all to itself though. WOW.)
This Saturday, the big day came, I was so excited. Shelby showed up and on our drive to Newport we were in awe of the amazing blue skies and wispy white clouds that spanned the heavens. Could we really be that blessed?! Yes we could! The full sun only came out during the ceremony, and created the most stunning blue skies.
Krystal was a radiant bride, and could not stop smiling all day. I am pretty sure I have only a small handful of serious faces! Which is fine, your wedding day is a great day to be happy.
Shelby "saw" this shot as we walked in the room. It may just be one of my very favorite shots of the day.
Shelby and I are a wonderful team. Every time we combine our pictures we are reminded of that. Our shooting styles compliment each other unbelievably.
The first time I saw this arbor, I truly fell in love. Another beautiful shot by Shelby.
Thank you Brian & Krystal for being such a fun couple to spend the day with, willing to try just about anything. Congratulations and Shelby and I wish you both the best!
This wedding was near and dear to my heart. It was the wedding of one of my childhood and lifelong girlfriends, Lisa.
I can't even put into words what it means to me to have shared this very special day with her, standing up with her as she married a man that is very special to her. I think she knows though.
I also had the honor of shooting her getting ready and some of the beautiful details before her photographer arrived.
Then I did the best I could to check my camera at the door and be a good bridesmaid! I tried, I really did! (In, out, in, out, and back in again.....) But when you see things, things that you don't want you best friend to ever forget. Details that she worked for many long months to put together, all for one very special day. It is so very hard.
Fortunately her photographer was very cool, and welcomed me to shoot most of the time! (Thank you so much Toban!) Congratulations you guys! I love you Lisa.
Here is more of this couple's beautiful day! I received their completed album yesterday and it was nothing short of amazing.. I will share pictures of the album later! More of the wedding first!
From the beginning I knew that Therese was the perfect Bride for us. She wanted her wedding documented from a more photo-journalistic approach than the traditional "smile and say cheese" portraits. Which is right up our alley and we couldn't have been more excited! Of course we did the traditional too, there is a place for that...but we minimized it as much as we could.
She was up for anything, and I mean anything! We had her in a huge bathtub.... which wasn't easy, she and Ryan played on a tire swing, and even did a bit of wading in the river! There is so much more fun to share coming soon.
Ryan and Therese got ready at a house on the rim above the Moyie Springs Canyon where the view was magnificent! Then the ceremony and the reception were held at the Moyie Springs Resort down in the canyon, it was simply beautiful.
There was so much love and detail that went into make their day special. The flowers were done by her Mother-in-Law. The hair was all done by her amazingly talented (and dedicated!) Sister-in-Law/Bridesmaid. Right town to the cupcake tree, made by her Mom, aunts, and friends. (I hope I didn't forget anyone!) At the reception they had friends manning multiple barbecues, cooking hamburgers and hot dogs for everyone = yummy food!
Therese, Ryan, Patti and everyone else..... thanks so much for including us in your day. It was truly an honor.
We hope you enjoy your sneak peek and can't wait to share the rest of the gallery with you!
